13. What’s New in the 2026 Update

This chapter summarises the features added since the first release. Everything here works alongside the sections above — use it as a quick tour of the newest tools.

13.1 Withdrawn Students list

The dashboard now has a dedicated “Withdrawn Students” icon under Students & Admissions, so you can review students who have left in one click.

  • On the Dashboard, open the Students & Admissions group and click Withdrawn Students.
  • The list opens showing all withdrawn students by default.
  • Narrow it down with the Class and Section filters, or type a name in the Search box.
Tip The same screen lets you switch the Status filter back to Active, Left or Passed-out without leaving the page.

13.2 Import Students from Excel / CSV

You can now bulk-create students (and their families) from a spreadsheet instead of entering them one by one.

  • Go to Students and click Import Excel.
  • Click Download Template to get the sample file, then fill one row per student.
  • Save the file and upload it. Siblings are grouped automatically by the father’s mobile number, and class/section are matched by name.
Tip Admission numbers are assigned automatically. Rows whose class name is not recognised are skipped and reported so you can fix them.

13.3 Remaining Fees on the Student Profile

Open any student’s profile: next to the name and the status badge (e.g. Active) you will now see a Remaining badge showing the total unpaid fees on that student’s family account — red when dues exist, green when fully paid.

13.4 Pakistani CNIC & Phone Auto-Formatting

Across the system — Families, Students, Visitors and more — CNIC and phone fields now format themselves as you type and are validated on save.

  • CNIC becomes 00000-0000000-0 automatically (dashes added for you, capped at 13 digits).
  • Mobile becomes 0300-1234567 automatically.
  • If the value is not a valid Pakistani CNIC or mobile number, the form shows a clear message and will not save until it is corrected.

13.5 Redesigned Fee Challans

Both the printed bank-style challan and the thermal (receipt-printer) challan were reworked:

  • Details now read in the order Student → Father Name → Family.
  • A Total Remaining line shows the family’s full outstanding balance across every unpaid challan, not just the current one.
  • The thermal receipt no longer has signature/stamp lines — it prints “This is a computer-generated challan. No signature or stamp is required.”

13.6 Bulk “Print Challans”

Print an entire class’s challans at once instead of opening them individually.

  • On the Dashboard, click the Print Challans icon.
  • Choose a Class (and optionally a Section and month/status).
  • The system opens every matching challan ready to print in one go.

13.7 Examinations & Professional Result Cards

The examination workflow now produces a polished, print-ready result card. The full flow:

  • Set up your grading scale once under Examinations › Grade Scale, and assign subjects to each class under Academics › Classes.
  • Create an exam (Examinations › Exams), then Generate Papers for each class.
  • Enter marks under Marks Entry (or the pencil icon on a paper); mark Absent where needed.
  • Publish the exam to make results visible on the Parent and Student portals.
  • Print from Result Cards (individual A4 card), Gazette Sheet (whole class), or Position Holders (merit list + subject analysis).
Tip The new Result Card includes the school header, student photo, per-subject grades and remarks, totals, GPA, class position, the grading-scale legend and signature lines — and hides all on-screen menus when printing.

A separate step-by-step “Examination Module” manual is also available from IT Artificer.

13.8 Timetable Menu

A dedicated Timetable screen (under Academics) shows teacher – subject – class allocations in a clear, readable layout.

13.9 Transport — Smarter “Assign Students”

The Transport › Assign Students screen now shows each student’s Father Name alongside their name, and adds a Search box plus Class and Section filters so you can find and assign riders quickly.

13.10 Data Backups (Super Admin only)

A new Backups area lets the Super Admin protect the school’s data. It is visible only to the Super Admin under Administration › Backups.

  • Download — create and download a full database backup on demand.
  • Restore — upload a previous backup file to restore the database.
  • Schedule — turn on automatic daily, weekly or monthly backups and choose how many to keep.
Tip Keep at least one recent backup off the server (download a copy) so your data is safe even if the server is lost.
